Fidius
What Fidius is
Fidius helps private tutors run their teaching practice: lesson scheduling, student records, payment balances and receipts, and the tutor’s own subscription to the product. Inviting a student is optional; if they join, it is only with your invite. This page is public and does not require an account.
Fidius is not a payment processor. Students pay the tutor directly. Fidius records lessons, balances, and receipts the tutor and student already handle off-platform.
From tutor to tutors
Fidius is built by a small team led by a practising private tutor — a graduate of Georgia Tech's U.S. master's program in Computing Systems with an AI focus. The service grew out of a real schedule, debts and receipts. Almost every new feature started as a tutor's request that we heard and shipped.
Google Calendar (optional, separate from Sign-In)
You can sign in to Fidius with Google or with email and password. Connecting Google Calendar is optional and is offered only to tutors who want to import existing calendar events as Fidius lessons. Calendar connect does not sign you in.
If a tutor chooses Connect Google Calendar, Fidius requests only https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonly (read-only Calendar events). Fidius does not create, update, or delete Google Calendar events, and does not request Gmail, Drive, or Contacts.
How we access, use, share, protect, retain, and delete Google user data is stated in the Privacy Policy.
How it works
- The tutor plans lessons and tracks each student’s balance — with or without a student account.
- Students pay the tutor directly, however you agree. They can send a receipt; AI checks the amount and the date; you confirm in Payments and the balance updates.
- Without a student account, you change the balance yourself on the student card or Finance. Fidius never moves the money.
- Optional: import selected Google Calendar events or an Excel file into the Fidius schedule.
How tutors find this
Private teachers search for bookkeeping tools, not a marketplace. Fidius is software for the tutor who already has students: schedules, prepaid balances, receipts, groups, Excel import, and optional read-only Google Calendar.

Questions tutors ask
What is Fidius? Fidius is a web app for private tutors: lesson schedules, each student’s balance, payment receipts, reminders, and reports. A student account is by invite, and optional. It is not a marketplace and not a payment processor.
Is Fidius free for tutors? Yes. You get 14 days of full access with no card. After that Fidius stays free for up to five students. A paid subscription lifts the seat limit; Fidius never takes a percentage of your lessons.
How do I pay for a Fidius subscription? On the plans page after the trial. You pay Fidius itself on a bePaid page: card (Visa, Mastercard, Belkart, Mir), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, or ERIP. There is no auto-renew. That is separate from students paying you for lessons off-platform.
Can Fidius replace Excel or Google Sheets for tutoring? That is the usual reason tutors switch. The schedule, balances and receipts stay in one ledger, so you do not rebuild formulas after every lesson.
How does a student’s balance work? The tutor records prepaid money or the current debt. When a lesson is confirmed, Fidius subtracts that lesson’s price. You always see what each student has left or owes.
Does Fidius check payment receipts? Students can send a receipt. AI checks the amount and the date; you confirm in Payments and the balance updates. Without a student account, you change the balance yourself on the student card or Finance — Add or Deduct. Fidius does not move the money and takes no cut.
Do I need Google Calendar? No. Google Calendar is optional and read-only: you may import existing events as Fidius lessons. Fidius never creates or changes Google events. Sign-in with Google on the login page is a separate feature and does not grant calendar access.
Are my details encrypted? Yes. Email, phone and bank details are stored encrypted (AES-256), not as plaintext in the database. Passwords are hashed. Traffic uses HTTPS.
